If you are interested in seeing the two easiest going Wirehairs work in the field, just let us know. Wreck and Emma are always up to having some fun! We are also taking reservations for our new PUPPIES that were born July 29, 2009. Prior to purchase, buyer will be required to complete and sign a contract.

Gunner

Gunner of Bonniedale SH was born December 29, 1997
and is registered with the AKC.
(Call name Gunner) German Shorthair Pointer.
Gunner is a big German Shorthair that still thinks he is a puppy.
When I went to pick him out, he was one of
the biggest puppies in the litter.
For those of you who know me well, I had to go and
see him as many times as I could over his first seven weeks of life.
I was very excited to receive the call from Randy
(who we were buying Gunner from) to let me know that we could take him home.
He simply stated,
"I think he is eating me out of puppy food!"
From the time we have had Gunner I can honestly say he has been my very best friend!
                
                

Wreck

Wreck of Bonniedale JH was born May 17, 1998 and is registered with AKC, NAVHDA, and the Field Trial Stud Book.
(Call name Wreck) German Wirehair Pointer.
Wreck has a rather entertaining story of how he received his name.
When we brought Wreck home as a puppy, we put him down on the ground to smell his new surroundings.
Gunner was excited to see that we were home and he came running around a tree and didn"t see the new puppy and he stepped on him!
What was the result?
Our new puppy received a broken leg and we hadn't even named him yet.
So we thought of all kinds of names while he was healing. Then Dale came up with the name Wreck - like a car "wreck."
It is perfectly fitting and brings a chuckle everytime we reminisce about bringing him home.
                
                
                
                

Doti

Doti of Bonniedale Sweetgrass JH was born March 10, 2000 and is registered with the AKC.
(Call name Doti) German Shorthair Pointer.
We got Doti from some really good friends of ours who own Sweetgrass Kennels out of Brodhead, Wisconsin.
Sue and Richard had just had a batch of puppies from their female who is named Maggie.
She is a gem and I just love her to pieces!
I told Sue and Richard that if she ever had puppies,
I just had to have one.
Well, it came to be that Maggie did have a litter of Short
hair puppies with Jack, one of Sue and Richard's males.
The problem turned out that all of the puppies were already sold.
Dale knew this but I didn't so he said that if some of
the puppies weren't sold I could get one. Guess what...
Doti came out of the batch just for us!
                
                
                
                

Emma

Heidlwolf Cheyenne, MH, Prize II, International Kennel Club Champion
was born July 22, 2005 and is registered with AKC and NAVHDA. German Wirehair Pointer.
Emma loves hunting. She can be as steady as a rock.
We are very proud of everything that she has accomplished in the last four years.
There are no words to describe to you as to how spoiled she is.
Everyday when Dale and I go to work, she gets to go to Grandma and Grandpa Crawford's house.
